A smiley face EQ with a piercing bite.

A lightweight bass, a low-mid scoop and a piercing presence band define the P12R's voice. Brighter and more piercing than its big brother the P12Q; warmer and more vocal than its ceramic cousin the C12R. It's not a hi-fi speaker — the bass doesn't extend low, the presence doesn't extend high. It's a character speaker. Its voice is also heavily influenced by amp choice: in a tweed, the P12R's bass and presence are amplified; in a blackface, they're moderated.
