A tweed scoop with an ice-pick peak.

The P12N's voice carries the transitional story. The tweed-era lightweight bass and low-mid scoop are there, same as the P12R and P12Q — but the presence peak has moved up into ice-pick territory. Where the P12R is piercing and vocal, the P12N is harsh and honky. The alnico chime you expect from a P-series Jensen isn't there — it's sitting an octave higher. Not quite a hi-fi voice, not quite a tweed voice either. A Jensen in limbo between eras.
